📞 Hello? Hi. It’s me, Jen Glantz. Welcome to the 1-800-Bridesmaid, by Bridesmaid for Hire. A place where real stories are shared and your best advice is given.
This week: A woman who wears an engagement ring says her fiance isn’t really planning on marrying her.
Last week: A maid of honor wants to date the best man but the bride is saying NO, now and later.. Here’s what you told her.

Dear 1-800-Bridesmaid,
I've been with my partner for 4 years, and we've shared a home since early last year with our two precious cats we treat like our children. When his beloved aunt was diagnosed with terminal cancer, he promised me an engagement as he wanted her to see him settled before she passed.
Now, eighteen months later, I'm wearing what feels like an empty promise on my finger. We're both in our early thirties, and while I've always dreamed of a simple wedding and starting a family soon, he seems to dismiss these conversations.
What's most frustrating is that he's made absolutely no plans for an official engagement, and whenever I bring up anything related to wedding planning, he completely freezes up and changes the subject.
Should I walk away or finally set a deadline for our future?
-Kat

🛍️: A few items I swear by this week:
My favorite $29.99 H&M jeans are sooo good — still loving them!
My second favorite pair of jeans from Gap on sale for $60.
I treated myself to two new pieces of jewelry for my birthday Ana Luisa — a really affordable and trendy band. I picked this necklace as an everyday piece that I can use as a base to layer other chains with. Then I grabbed this necklace to add length to my chain “stack’. It gives it dimension and makes it stand out! Here’s how it looks:
📖 :The woman at the gym was reading this book on the treadmill (that alone is a skill!!) and she said it’s incredible.
♫: This is good background music for when you’re trying to get some work done.
What’s new with Bridesmaid for Hire:
Jen Glantz here! I’m so grateful you’re here. I started 1-800-Bridesmaid as a way to bring you into the world of my life as a hired bridesmaid for strangers.
If you’re wondering what I’ve been up to lately, here’s a little preview:
A lot of you are reaching out to see if we are still hiring. Yes, but at the moment, there aren’t any open positions. I’ll keep you posted inside the newsletter when open positions to work weddings pop up.
My new book Finally the Bride is now available on Amazon!
My team and I developed these interactive maid of honor/best man speech, wedding officiant speech, and wedding vow tools. You chat with us about the stories, details, and memories you want to include and I write the speech for you — in just a few hours. If you have a wedding coming up and need a speech, check this out. We’re expanding this month to offer wedding officiant and father of the bride/goom and mother of the bride/groom speeches.
I'm Jen Glantz and this is my Bridesmaid for Hire newsletter.

Walk away. He's not going to marry you. This is an empty promise to keep you quiet.
